Scientific societies, institutes, groups, government and private sectors, organizations, journals and researchers are invited to participate in the IGU Thematic Conference – Egypt, 2025. 

Sessions:

·  Main sub-themes and session titles, that have to abide with commissions sub-themes, will be proposed and selected by the chairs of the 11 participating commissions of IGU.
 
·   Commissions’ chairs or nominated commission professors review and accept abstracts and posters that abide with sub-themes and sessions titles and meet IGU, normal and accepted standards of international scientific meetings.

 

·    Each session should consist of 4-5 oral or poster presentations. 

Call for co-sponsors and exhibitors:

Exhibitors from government and private sectors are invited to exhibit their products and services in the intended 4 days exhibition to take place in parallel to symposium.
 
o Exhibitors who are related to the conference theme are invited to share as partners and sponsors.
 

 

Terms and conditions will be agreed when contacts take place between the expected exhibitor or sponsor and the organizing committee or its representative conference organizing company.

Call for abstracts submission, guidelines and full paper:

Abstract guidelines:

Participant authors are invited to submit abstracts as shown below:

·  Abstract should not exceed 400 words in English or French.

·  Abstract should  be in the main sub-themes, and proposed sessions titles, , if any, and open sub-theme sessions or other topics set or agreed by commissions, organizing committee and IGU EC.

·  Abstracts should include: name,  job institute of the author, his/her email and phone.

·  Abstracts should include: the research problem/objective, theoretical insights, methodology, findings/results, discussion/conclusion, and ended by key words.

·  Abstracts font is Times New Roman 12pt, with single spacing, and left aligned text.

·  The title of the abstracts/ paper must be uppercase.

·  Title and name of author/s: in bold.

·  First name is followed by surname in capitals.

·  Institution address in plain text; and email address in italics

Abstract submission and full paper publication: 

§  Abstracts should be submitted between 30th June 2024 and 1st November 2024.

§  Authors have to fill the registration form on line and mention the commission name and  commission sub-theme and session topic title, if any, in the registration form.

§  Submitted abstracts will be filtered by the responsible commission.

§  Authors will be informed the abstracts acceptance from 20th  July 2024 to 20th November 2024.

§  Abstracts will be published in the proceedings of IGU Thematic Conference, Cairo 2025.

§  Full papers presented at the sessions will be published  in  Bulletin de la Societe de Geographie d’Egypte,The Bulletin of the Egyptian Geographical Society https://bsge.journals.ekb.eg/  after arbitration on the  expense of the EGS upon the request of the author.

§  Some full papers presented at sessions will also be considered for publication in selected categorized journals. That will be confirmed by commissions chairs.
